An idea cooked up in-house by our team of writers and PR experts, The Puppet Facelift made headlines in the national newspapers, weekly women’s magazines, and even on TV. The premise of The Puppet Facelift is simple; it takes the basic properties of the thread lift treatment and gives it spin with a catchy new name.
Our pitch centred around cosmetic doctor Sarah Tonks, who offers the treatment in her clinic. Keen to raise her personal profile and boost enquiries to her clinic, we worked with Dr Tonks to create a pitch that sold the treatment and her brand effectively.
The thread lift has actually been a long-serving cosmetic treatment designed to lift the face, improving the appearance of jowls and wrinkles using bespoke threads. We took this recognised treatment and gave it a fresh spin, focusing on the threads and rewards of undergoing such a procedure.
Threads reminded the team of strings, and strings became puppets; the Puppet Facelift was born, and we crafted a pitch to send to UK editors and beauty writers. The success was instant, with online news sites taking the story, before printed press followed. Within two weeks we had placed Dr Tonks on ITV’s top daytime show, This Morning, for a live demo.
We travelled to the studios with Sarah to perform a treatment on air, managing the entire experience for both our client and her case study. The TV exposure bagged Dr Tonks lots of enquiries, as well as celebrities knocking on her door to undergo this treatment.
